A bottle of 2021 Mount Veeder Winery Chardonnay Napa Valley on a white background

At the base of Mount Veeder lies a one-of-a-kind winegrowing region known as “Los Carneros.” Here, cooling breezes and daily fog from the San Pablo Bay combine with the region’s clay loam soils to produce the perfect conditions for growing Chardonnay. The grapes develop slowly in Carneros, ripening evenly to produce wines of rare expressiveness. When we decided it was time for Mount Veeder to release a we knew that it had to be from Carneros — but we wanted it to be uniquely our own. After exploring all the region had to offer, we selected fruit from a vineyard whose Chardonnay grapes flawlessly emulate Mount Veeder’s mountain style. The resulting wine offers rich layers of fruit balanced by a fresh, vibrant acidity.

Tasting Notes

Pale gold with aromas of ripe, golden orchard fruits, fresh banana, and pineapple, with a touch of caramel and vanilla. The palate is round and clean with bright acidity and a flinty finish of crisp minerality.
