Varietal Composition 100% Pinot Noir

A notoriously challenging variety, Pinot Noir prefers the foggy, wind-swept slopes of the Carneros region. The climate here helps to retain the aromatic complexity and bright acidity of the grape as flavor development advances. The renowned Rancho Carneros Vineyard in southeastern Carneros provided the fruit for this blend. The specific vines that gave us grapes for this wine are 45 year-old, head-trained, dry-farmed vines. Fruit from these vines produce a wine of singular depth and complexity.
