The 2021 vintage was excellent and mild. After rains in January and February, the growing season remained dry. Temperatures were moderate and the weather optimal at budbreak in April and bloom in May. Weather remained even through summer and harvest, resulting in a lower-than-average yield with small, deeply concentrated grapes. The fruit was harvested between August 23 and September 7. The juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks (30%) and oak barrels (70%) – the wine was then aged for seven months in French oak (14% new).
