A generous portion of the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this wine come from the Schweitzer Vineyard in the Stags Leap District, Napa Valley. Both the vineyard and the AVA are renowned for their purity of fruit which is accentuated by the bright, juicy fruit grown in the cool Los Carneros vineyards. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon mature gracefully on Carneros' sunny, rolling hills and allow Cabernet Franc's aromatics to shine.
